Resumes and Cover Letters
Everyone who applies for a job should send a resume and
a cover letter. After all, it is your cover letter and resume
that will help you get that all-important job interview.
A cover letter is a business letter that accompanies each
resume you send to a prospective employer. It serves as
an introduction of who you are, what you have to offer,
and why you are sending your resume. Its purpose is to make
sure that someone will look at your resume.
A resume is a brief, written summary of your education,
work experience, skills, and accomplishments that you send
to a prospective employer. Its purpose is to make sure that
you are considered for the job and that you get an interview.
There are several different formats that you can use when
writing a resume or cover letter. You must be careful to
avoid mistakes, and there are certain things that you should
include. It can seem like a very intimidating process, but
writing a resume or cover letter does not have to be difficult!
There are many resources available to you on the Internet.
